POPPY KNOX:

Poppy is persistently happy, tending towards optimism and making the best out any given situation. She wants to live life to the fullest and thinks every day should be cherished -- largely because she's come from such a dismal and shitty home life. She was born into a cult that largely stripped freedoms (and schooling) from her and her mother and only managed to escape with her when she was 13. She grew up without any technology with only bare basic necessities. Despite her mother settling into poverty/a minimum wage job, she finds something new to be excited about every day online, through the people she meets, or out exploring the world.

TARO SAKURAI:

Due to a problemantic childhood, Taro's always been something of a thug. It was eat or be eaten in the world in which he grew up and it should come as no surprise that he opted for the Yakuza as early as he was able. Rather than be the prey in a world that would devour him, Taro decided being a predator was his best bet at a better life. It's only through his friends and found family that he's later able to make his escape from the Yakuza into a life more meaningful.

BAMBI SADLER:

Bambi is a party girl. She's the life of every one thrown and she's the last person to leave -- if life is a party, than she never wants it to end! She dabbles into drugs as a poor coping mechanism for trauma early on in life and is always eager to find a new partner to join her in bed. She's frequently found laughing or throwing shade at the "plastic" people around her. She looks down on people that try too hard to project a perfect image of themselves. She thinks flaws are what make a person beautiful -- largely because she struggles with hiding her own. She tends to mother her friends and is often hypocritical in seeking out the best for them while ignoring advice that would better her own life.

MIHO SAKURAI:

Miho's an odd teenager, preferring to wear suits even in the morbid heat of summer. He's of the mind that he should be as "adult" as possible, foregoing the potential of childhood for the mindset of his mother (and his step-mother, who lobbed all of her chores for running a household onto him). After a terse year at his biological father's home, he's obtained a rampant dislike for anyone that's an unproductive member of society -- much to the detriment of his half-brother. He spends the vast majority of his time studying, sometimes to the point of exhaustion, and often has to be reminded to eat or drink. Miho's a sparse boy, reserved at the best of times, but ready and able to brandish sass in a heartbeat.
